Prof. Liu Changlai is a graduate supervisor at Nanjing Forestry University and a distinguished scholar in plant molecular biology and bamboo science. His research centers on the regulation and applied processing of secondary metabolites in bamboo, alongside bamboo population genetics and functional gene development, integrating genomics, transcriptomics, and physiological approaches. Professor Liu has made significant contributions to understanding photosynthesis regulation, stress responses, and transcription factor families across bamboo and other plant species, with impactful studies published in leading journals such as Plants, Industrial Crops and Products, Forests, and Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences.
