Dr. Liewei Wen is an accomplished Associate Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, recognized for his pioneering work in light and microwave-sensitive biomaterials and natural product-derived biomaterials for cancer diagnosis and therapy. He obtained his B.Sc. in Biology from the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2012 and earned his Ph.D. in Biophysics from the MOE Key Laboratory of Laser Life Science, South China Normal University, in 2018. Dr. Wen’s academic career includes serving as Assistant Professor at Zhuhai People’s Hospital, Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Macau, and Associate Professor at Jinan University before joining BIT. His research contributions are reflected in numerous high-impact publications in journals such as Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B, Biomaterials Science, Journal of Controlled Release, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, and Journal of Nanobiotechnology. His innovative work in photoacoustic imaging, ferroptosis enhancement, and immunotherapeutic nanoplatforms has significantly advanced the field of cancer chemo-immunotherapy. Dr. Wen has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the 2024 “Top 100” Outstanding Academic Paper Gold Award by the Chinese Journal of Interventional Radiology, the Outstanding Editorial Board Member Award of Exploration (2023), and multiple national scholarships recognizing his excellence in research. Beyond his publications, he has contributed as a translator and editor for influential academic books in interventional oncology and liver cancer research, underscoring his commitment to scientific innovation and translational medicine.
