Professor Liu has made significant contributions to understanding photosynthesis regulation, stress responses, and transcription factor families across bamboo and other plant species, with impactful studies published in leading journals such as Plants, Industrial Crops and Products, Forests, and Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences.
