Dr. Jingying Zhou commenced her academic journey by earning a Ph.D. in Microbiology from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2013. Prior to her doctoral studies, she obtained an M.Phil. in Virology and Microbiology from Wuhan University in 2008, following a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the same university in 2005.

After completing her Ph.D., Dr. Zhou embarked on a productive period as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS), CUHK, spanning from September 2013 to September 2018.
