Dr. Yan Pingyu is a doctoral researcher in Forest Tree Genetics and Breeding at the State Key Laboratory of Tree Genetics and Breeding, Northeast Forestry University, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Forestry through a Master–Doctorate combined program under the supervision of Prof. Zhang Hanguo. Her research centers on germplasm resource evaluation, genetic diversity analysis, and breeding population construction of Pinus koraiensis (Korean pine). She has published five peer-reviewed papers, including multiple SCI Q1 journal articles, with additional manuscripts under review, and holds authorized and pending national invention patents. As a principal investigator and key participant in several national and provincial research projects, she has contributed to improved variety approval and technical standards development in Heilongjiang Province. Her academic excellence has been recognized through repeated First-Class Scholarships and provincial honors.

Prof. Dr. Changcai Teng, born on 27 May 1982, is a Chinese crop genetics and breeding specialist currently serving as a Faba Bean Breeder at the Qinghai Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Science and Qinghai University’s Academy of Agriculture and Forestry. He holds a PhD (2018) and MSc (2009) in crop genetics and breeding, as well as a postgraduate qualification in forestry science (2004), all from Qinghai University in Xining, China. With professional experience spanning roles at the Agricultural Technology Promotion Center in Gonghe County and the Sino-Canada joint venture Jason Group Corporation Luyuan Ecology Co., Ltd, his research has focused on the genetics and breeding of Spring Brassica napus, potato, and faba bean. Proficient in Chinese and English, he is based in Xining, Qinghai Province.
